5. 廣泛性焦慮症(Generalized Anxiety Disorder)

 

廣泛性焦慮症(GAD)是焦慮病的一種,香港約5.4%的人患上這病症。GAD的主要特點是過度和難以控制擔心憂慮。擔憂的內容並不局限於某一特定的事情,而是普遍擔心的話題,可以一個主題跳到另一個。擔心的是一連串的消極的想法,涉及的主題在未來的威脅。患者會思想如何防止或避免危險。

患者至少有3個以下症狀:煩躁不安,容易疲勞、注意力不集中、煩躁、肌肉緊張、睡眠障礙。肌肉緊張和睡眠障礙是最常見的症狀。過度的焦慮和擔心,可能會發生由於某些疾病(如甲亢)或濫用藥物所致,經常飲咖啡也能產生焦慮症狀,如煩躁不安,出汗,情緒激動和睡眠障礙。如果你患有過度焦慮或擔心,減少使用咖啡可能是明智的。元認知治療(metacognitive therapy)及認知行為治療是現時廣泛性焦慮症有效的治療方法。
